Casino Back to Kathmandu – In real life

After Nepal’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) ruled it an illegal casino on April 19, 2014, casinos in Nepal, including the famous casino Anna, opened and closed again almost immediately. The new law came into force on July 16, 2013, and few of Nepal’s casinos complied with deposit and tax requirements. Shangri-La Hotel & Resort’s casino Shangri-La was already closed months before it closed due to “labor insecurity.” It now looks like “first out” was “first in” under a new contract with the government.

Asian news outlets are reporting that Hong Kong-based Silver Heritage Limited has agreed to run the Millionaire Club and Casino at Shangri-La (pictured here) in a joint venture with the Naples company. AsiaOne reports that MoCTCA will issue the license within two weeks and has already received preliminary approval. The delay in the final license is believed to be due to the drafting of a comprehensive operating manual for the casino. “As soon as the manual is drafted, Silver Heritage will receive final operating permission,” said Tulasi Gautam, general director of MoCTCA

Silver Heritage Ltd is operating and developing several projects, including revenue-sharing agreements and the provision of more than 1,000 slots and electronic game consoles to players in regulated Southeast Asian markets. In terms of revenue-sharing for the business, partners include Cambodia’s Naga World Casino, according to a previous survey and statement on the Silver Heritage website.

Other operations include Phoenix International Club, located near Hanoi, and Live Dealer Table. According to Silver Heritage, the casino is one of the only seven casino licenses in Vietnam that are not electronic game vendors. The casino will move to Bac Ninh, where it will have 120 rooms and villas, at least 30 game tables and 100 electronic game consoles when completed.

The more ambitious plans appear to include a plan to buy 30 underperforming casino clubs currently operating in the Philippines and relaunch them under the “Millionaire Club” brand.

According to the Silver Heritage website, it has also received approval from the Indian government and the Central Reserve Bank to open the first of four five-star Tiger Palace resorts in a vast unexplored region of India. Scheduled to officially open by 2018, the resort plans to operate with more than 500 table games and over 2,000 electronic machines. Under India’s current law, table games offered by true dealers are rare or non-existent, other than floating casinos. Although global casino directory editors used the name Silver Heritage LTD in reviewing casinos in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, as well as other parts of Asia, as of late 2014, they were not actually able to locate the casinos remotely. This may be due to the current restrictions on world mapping in “underdeveloped” countries and, above all, a lack of detailed transparent information. 바카라사이트 A quick look at representatives of Silver Heritage LTD, along with Asian news reports quoting a Nepalese government official, gives us ample grounds to believe that the casinos are actually on their way back to Kathmandu.

Editor’s note: Kathmandu’s current casino profile is not up to date with the world casino directory. When action occurs on site, the directory updates the database to close, update, and create new casinos on the public list.
