Galaxy Entertainment Group will open the second phase (fourth phase) of Galaxy Macao with Broadway Macao on May 27, 2015. Galaxy Macao is Macao’s flagship property located in Kotai Streep. With the addition of Broadway Macao, the destination will double in size to over 1.1 million square meters, with an investment of 43 billion Hong Kong dollars (US$5.5 billion). Two more phases are planned, with the Galaxy’s investment in the region amounting to HK$100 billion. The site survey for the rest of the development phase is expected to begin later this year.

The former Grand Waldo closed in mid-2013 for renovation and will be Galaxy Macao’s Broadway, including Broadway hotels, Broadway casinos, Broadway theaters, and Broadway. Broadway at Galaxy Macao will be a family-oriented resort, and a 90-second walk on an air-conditioned skybridge will connect you to Galaxy Macao.

Investments in family-friendly products are a result of the Galaxy dispersing its risk in the market. Broadway will widely appeal to mass markets, while Galaxy Macau will continue to attract premium mass markets and some high rollers. Starworld Casino & Hotel will continue to serve mostly VIP players.

The second phase and Broadway opening will create an integrated resort with around 4,000 rooms, including six world-class hotels and Ritz-Carlton’s first all-suite hotel with more than 250 suites. JW Marriott Hotel Macau is Asia’s largest JW Marriott hotel. The Broadway Hotel offers 320 well-decorated rooms. The new hotel has been complemented by three existing luxury hotels: the Galaxy Hotel, the Okura Macau Hotel, and Banyan Tree Macau.

At the top of the hotel, the 75,000 sq m expansive Grand Resort deck features the world’s largest skytop wave pool and 575 m of skytop water adventure river rides, making it the longest convenience in the world.

Luxury shoppers will be able to browse more than 200 retail brand products in Promenade. Some of the retailers include Bottega, 바카라사이트 Veneta, Blgari, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Alexander Wang, Montclair, and Kelin. Including more than 40 restaurants and street food suppliers on Broadway that are made up of street celebrities, it will have more than 120 food and beverage stores, making it Macau’s largest restaurant offering. Michelin Star Restaurant is one of them.

Broadway theaters are available from Broadway casinos and Galaxy Macau in under two minutes. The theater is an intimate venue with 3,000 luxury seats, a dedicated VIP lounge, and a 26 sq m (279 sq ft) LED wall.
