The Kia Tigers extended their winning streak to four games with a victory over the Hanwha Eagles behind veterans Kim Sun-bin and Choi Hyung-woo.

KIA defeated Hanwha 5-2 in their home game of the 현금홀덤사이트 KBO Baseball 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL on Sunday at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju.

The game was headlined by a starting matchup between Rookie of the Year contenders Yoon Young-cheol (KIA) and Moon Dong-joo (Hanwha), but it was the veteran hitters who proved to be the difference.

Yoon lasted just four innings (two hits, four walks, two runs and one earned run), while Moon Dong-ju took the loss (8-8) after giving up five runs on five hits in five innings.

Moon threw perfect innings one through three on 30 pitches.

Hanwha opened the scoring in the first inning with a solo shot to left field by Kim Tae-yeon, and added a run in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly to center field by Eu Eui-jae with runners on first and third after a throwing error by KIA second baseman Kim Sun-bin.

However, KIA’s Kim Sun-bin made up for the error in the bottom of the fourth inning with a two-run double to left field that tied the game.

In the sixth inning, Kim Do-young and Na Sung-beom singled to right to put runners on first and second with no outs, and 1983-born veteran Choi Hyung-woo hit a 153-kilometer-per-hour fastball from 2003-born Moon Dong-joo to left-center field for a game-winning two-run double.

The next batter, Socrates Brito, followed with a double to left-center, scoring Choi and giving KIA a 5-2 lead.

KIA manager Kim Jong-kook turned to his bullpen in the fifth inning after Yoon Young-chul walked and pulled off the upset.

Ninth-ranked Hanwha lost its sixth straight game.
