Seongnam Bundang Business High School has lifted the women’s high school championship trophy at the 2023 Secondary Basketball Weekend League Wangjoong Wangjeon.

Led by head coach Park Young-rae, Bundang Business High School defeated Onyang Girls High School in Chungcheongnam-do 81-75 in the women’s high school final on the eighth day of the tournament at 텍사스홀덤 Yanggu Culture and Sports Center in Gangwon-do, South Korea, thanks to a 29-point performance by Byun Ha-jeong.

It was the third title of the season for Bundang Business School, after winning the spring middle and high school federation championships in March and the association championship in April.

Heo Yoo-jung, Byun Ha-jung, and Park Da-won scored evenly in the first quarter, but Onyang Girls’ High School’s Choi Yoo-ji scored 12 points to tie the game at 20-20.

In the second quarter, Bundang Business School took a 47-34 lead after 13 points from Heo Yoo-jung, and maintained the lead in the third and fourth quarters, thanks to Byun Ha-jung, to win by six points.

Bundang Business School’s Byun Ha-jung earned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award after leading her team to victory with 29 points, including two three-pointers, 17 rebounds, and five assists.
