‘Choi Sung-won’s 23 points’ Jung Kwan-jang defeats TNT to secure second place and a spot in the quarterfinals

Jungkwanjang clinches a spot in the EASL quarterfinals.

The Anyang Jungkwanjang RedBoosters defeated TNT Tropang Giga 88-76 in their 2023-2024 East Asian Super League (EASL) Group A qualifier away game on Thursday (Nov. 24) at the Phil Sports Arena in Manila, Philippines.

With the win, the Jungkwanjang 안전카지노사이트 clinched second place in the group with a 3-2 record in the preliminary round.

In Group A, the Chiba Jets clinched first place with six wins. They were followed by Jung Kwan-jang, who secured second place with three wins and two losses. Chung’s opponent, TNT, ended the tournament with a final record of 1-5. The other team, the Taipei Fubon Braves, finished with a 1-4 record.

The only remaining match in Group A is between Chung Kwan Giang and Fubon in Taipei, so whoever wins will not change Chung Kwan Giang’s second place.

Chung was without the likes of Lens Abando and Chung Hyo-geun due to injury, as well as foreign player Darryl Monroe, but their domestic players stepped up.

Shooting guard Choi Sung-won led the team’s offense with 23 points and four rebounds, including a 100 percent success rate from three-point range, hitting all seven.

Foreign player Robert Carter Jr. added 22 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists, while Park Ji-hoon (15 points, six rebounds and seven assists) and Bae Byung-jun (11 points, three rebounds and two assists) also contributed.

Replacement foreign player Jamil Wilson, a newcomer to the team, added 15 points and 14 rebounds.

With such a strong offensive performance, Jung Kwan-jang jumped out to a 34-19 lead in the first quarter and didn’t change much in the rest of the game to secure the win.

TNT was led by former KCC player Ronde Holly Jefferson with 33 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, but it wasn’t enough to turn the game around.
