The Korea Volleyball Federation (President Cho Won-tae) announced that it will hold the 2023 Gumi and Dodram Cup professional volleyball competition at Gumi Park Chung-hee Gymnasium for a total of 16 days from July 29 (Sat) to August 13 (Sun).

On July 29 (Sat), the women’s Korea Expressway Corporation and Pepper Savings Bank will open the competition, and on August 6 (Sun), the men’s competition will begin with a match between Korean Air and Woori Card.

Gumi City, the venue of the tournament, has been reunited with professional volleyball for the first time in about six years and four months since March 2017, the last game of the 16-17 season, with LIG Insurance, the predecessor of KB Insurance, with the last game of the 16-17 season.

As 37,000 spectators visited the Suncheon-Dodram Cup professional volleyball tournament in 2022, it is expected that a hot volleyball feast will continue in the upcoming tournament in Gumi City.

14 teams from the men’s and women’s divisions of the V League and 1 team from men’s and women’s overseas club teams will be invited to participate in the tournament, with a total of 16 teams. Overseas invited teams will include the Panasonic Panthers, the third-largest Japanese V-League last season in the men’s division, and the Supreme Chonburi team, which has won the Thai league several times in the women’s division. 스포츠토토

In this tournament, players who changed into new uniforms during the off-season stand out.

In the women’s division, Park Jung-ah and Jung Dae-young, the main players of the Korea Expressway Corporation’s victory last season, moved to Pepper Savings Bank and GS Caltex, respectively, while Hwang Min-kyung moved to IBK Industrial Bank and Kim Soo-ji moved to Heungkuk Life Insurance. Attention is focusing on the performance of the players who will make their first appearance after the transfer.

In addition, the men’s OK Financial Group coach Ogino Massage and the women’s Pepper Savings Bank coach Joe Trinji will make their first debut since taking office.

The concept of this competition is ‘RALLY FOR VOLLEY’. The slogan, “RALLY,” which means “gathering,” and “VOLLEY,” is a rally of volleyball, and it is the first cup competition in Gyeongsangbuk-do, and at the same time, it means to create an exciting moment where fans can continue to gather to cheer and rejoice.

In order to record the exciting summer volleyball moment, a four-cut photo photo booth will be installed in the stadium, and the photo booth can be enjoyed unlimitedly at no additional cost.

In addition, there are various events that will give unforgettable memories to fans who visit the stadium, such as the “Rally for Stamp” event, which allows them to sign a certification stamp and apply for 8 million won worth of Serazem prizes.
