W Hotel at SLS Las Vegas to be full Resort Operation

SLS Las Vegas Hotels & Casino today announced that starting Friday, August 17, 2018, the W Hotel in SLS Las Vegas will be integrated into the entire operation of the resort and named The Grand Tower. In addition, SLS Las Vegas will have full operational rights to the resort reservation system from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, and the SLS Las Vegas brand will cease its membership to Starwood Tribute Portfolio Hotels & Resorts.

“We are excited to integrate the Four Diamond W Hotel into our SLS operations,” said Paul Hobson, general manager of SLS Las Vegas. “We look forward to repatriating this wonderful hotel within our existing SLS resort experience and building on the service excellence that guests have come to expect from W.”

The Grand Tower will continue as a Four Diamond experience for guests. Reservations for W Las Vegas prior to Aug. 17 will remain in place. SLS Las Vegas will also operate a spa, pool, lounge, and Meeting Space located within the tower. Currently, team members of the W Hotel in SLS Las Vegas have been invited to move to SLS Las Vegas or continue hiring at Marriott, the parent company of Starwood Hotels & Resorts. 파워볼사이트 추천

SLS Las Vegas will also operate and manage the resort’s hotel reservation system from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. New bookings with Marriott or SPG Rewards points will no longer be allowed, but will apply if you book with points before the date of the transfer of operations on August 17.

“Getting full operational control of the resort is an interesting step in achieving the vision Mr. Meruelo has for this property,” Mr. Hobson continued. “By acting as a fully independent operator, we can continue to build a great foundation set in SLS to provide guests with a unique and boutique experience unlike any other on Las Vegas Strip.”

The relocation of W Hotel’s operations to SLS Las Vegas, along with the operating homes of the hotel reservation system and the brand’s independence from Starwood’s Tribute Portfolio Hotel & Resort, is the latest in a series of improvements to the resort since Alex Meruello took over the hotel in April this year. Meruello has begun renovating the hotel as part of an exciting $100 million reinvention that includes plans to improve casino floors, room products, swimming pools and entertainment venues.
