Green Light On Plans To Recruit Manchester United

Manchester United’s defense reinforcement plan has been given a green light.

Spanish media “Sport” reported on the 27th, “Jules Kounde (25), known as Manchester United’s target, is no longer a transferable player from Barcelona.”

Manchester United’s performance this season is disappointing. Having played 21 matches in the Premier League, Manchester United has won 10 matches, drawn two and lost nine matches, earning only 32 points and ranking eighth.

Defensive instability is pointed out as the biggest problem. With Lisandro Martinez out due to injury, Jonny Evans, Harry Maguire and Viktor Lindelof suffered injuries alternately.

Recruitment of a new center back has emerged as a task. With the possibility of Raphael Varane and Lindelof leaving the club this summer, the prevailing argument is that a replacement should be hired as soon as possible.

Kounde has been mentioned as one of Manchester United’s candidates for recruitment. Manchester United has reportedly explored the possibility of Kounde’s transfer to reinforce its defense since last summer.

In fact, no recruitment was made. Barcelona was not willing to sell Kounde despite its financial difficulties.

The situation has changed rapidly in recent years. According to the latest report, the Barcelona leadership and coaching staff are reportedly concerned about Kounde’s performance.

The Copa del Rey quarterfinals on the 24th were decisive. Kounde, who started as a right fullback in a 4-3-3 formation, was strongly criticized for allowing Bilbao’s cross several times.

His future at Barcelona has also become uncertain. “Barcelona will listen to other clubs’ suggestions for Kounde in the transfer market this summer,” Sport said.

“Barcelona recruited Kounde for 50 million euros (about 72.6 billion won) in 2022. His transfer fee will be set higher than this,” he predicted. 스포츠토토
