Larry Sutton resigns as Baseball Lotte manager

Larry Sutton, the foreign manager of the Lotte Giants of the Korean Baseball Organization, has resigned. Lotte also announced that the team will play the remainder of the season under head coach Lee Jong-woon.

Lotte announced today (Aug. 28), “Coach Sutton resigned as manager for health reasons after yesterday’s game against the KT Wiz at Sajik Stadium. After careful consideration, the club has decided to respect and accept Coach Sutton’s wishes.”

Lotte will continue the remainder of the season under acting head coach Lee Jong-woon, starting tomorrow (Sept. 29) against the Hanwha Eagles in Daejeon.

With Sutton at the helm, Lotte is in seventh place with 50 wins, 58 losses and a 0.463 winning percentage through 28 days.

They are 5.0 games behind the fifth-place KIA Tigers. They were in first place at one point earlier in the season, but couldn’t keep the momentum going and are now separated from fifth place.

Coach Sutton recently revealed his extreme stress by taking a leave of absence, 먹튀검증토토사이트 citing dizziness, and eventually decided to resign.
