NBA Player Arrested for Assaulting Opponent Team Player Before Game

Center and forward Isaiah Stewart 22 of the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association NBA was arrested on charges of assaulting Phoenix Sons forward Drew Eubanks 27 before the game on the 7th.

Police issued a subpoena to Stewart and released him, according to multiple local media outlets, and said they were continuing to investigate the case.

The two tall players, measuring 203 centimeters and 207 centimeters, respectively, collided in a Footprint Arena parking lot in Phoenix, Arizona. Police reported the fight at 4:45 p.m. 6:45 p.m. Eastern time.

No reason was given.

Witnesses said the fight intensified when Stewart punched Eubanks, causing minor injuries during a verbal fight. Security personnel later separated the two.

Police were dispatched to investigate the case and collect evidence. A summons was issued to Stewart, who was arrested for assault, and released. The investigation is ongoing.

“The attack on Drew Eubanks had no justifiable reason, and acts of violence like this are unacceptable,” the Suns said in a statement. “We clearly support Drew and will continue to work with local law enforcement and the NBA.”

“We are in the process of collecting information on the circumstances and causes of the incident and responding to the NBA and local investigative authorities,” the Pistons said.

Eubanks, the victim of the assault, had six points and eight rebounds in 18 minutes against the Pistons, contributing to his team’s 116-100 victory. Stewart did not play due to a sprained left ankle. 릴게임
