One more year with KIM…Müller, about the future

Bayern Munich one-club man Thomas Muller (34), who has “one year left on his contract,” has declined to talk about the future, but he has made sure of his goal of winning the upcoming season.

Munich beat Tottenham 2-1 in two 2024 Coupang Play Series matches held at Seoul World Cup Stadium at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Müller and Kim Min-jae played as starters and walked around the field.

Munich won the first match in Korea since its foundation in 1900. Kim Min-jae won the match against Son Heung-min by decision.

Munich scored the first goal in the very beginning of the game. In the fourth minute of the first half, Vicario tried to pass to Spence from the back and was cut off by Gnabry’s pressure. Vicario blocked Gnabry’s first shot, but Vidovic, born in 2003, connected the ball back to the shot. The ball went out between Vicario’s legs and shook the net.

Munich took the lead by two goals. Tel penetrated the central area at the 11th minute of the second half and sent a forward pass into the box. Koretska’s subsequent shot was blocked by Vikario’s defense. However, Koretska pushed the ball back into the net.

Tottenham made up one goal. Pedro Porro hit the net with a right cannonball as soon as he had some space in the 21st minute of the second half. It was a wonder goal that penetrated the frustration of Tottenham fans at once.

The match ended with a one-goal victory for Munich.

Müller, the “München sign” who played with cheers from Korean fans, was asked about his future in a mixed zone interview after the game.

He has already retired from the German national team. He has one year left on his contract with Munich.

Rather than mentioning the future, Müller said, “This is not the right time to talk about the contract,” looking back on last season, “München has not won any titles. That’s why I’m going to focus on the club and do my best to produce better results in the 2024-2025 season.”

“I feel good to win,” he said, adding that “it’s time to physically raise it up a little more as the season approaches.”

If he plays three more games, Müller will set a new record for the largest number of games played in Munich (707 games for Müller and 709 games for Jeff Meyer).

He put his team before his personal record. “The important thing is the team’s success. It is important to perform better this season. I think personal records additionally follow. Winning the Bundesliga is the most important point,” he stressed. 토토사이트
