‘Song Kyo-chang 22 points’ KCC defeats leading DB, jumps to 5th place

Professional basketball team KCC defeats leading DB, led by Song Kyo-chang, to move into fifth place.

KCC won the 2023-2024 Jungkwanjang Professional Basketball League regular season home game 94-88 at 텍사스홀덤 Sajik Gymnasium in Busan.

With their second straight win and third straight home victory, KCC moved up two spots to fifth place.

They reported their first win of the season against DB, shaking off an early-season slump to go 4-1 in their last five games.

DB, who suffered their fourth loss of the season, maintained their lead but narrowed the gap to two points with the in-form second-place LG.

KCC’s Song Kyo-chang was on fire, scoring a season-high 22 points to go along with eight rebounds and four assists.

It was a full-court performance reminiscent of his 2020-2021 season, when he won the season MVP award.

Choi Jun-yong also shined with 19 points, six rebounds and six assists.

DB’s Dedrick Lawson recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, but it was not enough in the loss.

At the Sonic Boom Arena in Suwon, home team KT defeated Sono 82-64 to escape a two-game losing streak.

KT, with a 13-7 record, remained in third place, while Sono, with an 8-12 record, remained in eighth.
