The Busan Institute of Health and Environment announced on the 15th that it will conduct preliminary tests for food poisoning bacteria on cooked food provided to athletes, referees, and management personnel during the 2024 Busan World Table Tennis Championships. The institute will deploy a ‘food poisoning rapid sportstotozonecom inspection vehicle’ supported by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety at Bexco Plaza and operate a rapid inspection team to quickly test for food poisoning bacteria at the tournament site. The food poisoning rapid test vehicle is a 45-seater bus that has been converted into a meeting room, pre-treatment room, and genetic analysis room.

The rapid inspection team will test food for 17 types of food poisoning bacteria in the inspection vehicle four hours before meals, and will proactively prevent food poisoning incidents by blocking the importation of cooked food with detected food poisoning bacteria.
