“Kim Yeon-kyung, please become the next Jung Dae-young”

After the end of last season, the talk of the volleyball world was whether Kim Yeon-kyung (35, Heungkuk Life – pictured) would extend her playing career. Kim announced her intention to retire during the season.

In February, Kim said she was “thinking about when to retire,” and after winning the regular season MVP award, she announced her decision to extend her career. After becoming a free agent, Kim signed a one-year contract with 현금홀덤사이트 Heungkuk Life for a total compensation of 775 million won, delaying her retirement by one year.

The reason for her decision to extend her career was her thirst for winning. At the time, Kim explained, “As we missed out on the overall championship this season, my desire for a championship grew even more.” Heungkuk Life, which finished first in the regular season, lost the title in the championship game to Korea Expressway Corporation.

Kim Yeon-kyung is still at the top of her game. Heungkuk Life has led the way this season with Kim Yeon-kyung. Kim is still a pillar of the team. Because of this, many fans are wondering if she will play beyond this season.

On the women’s side, middle blocker Jung Dae-young (42-GS Caltex) is the oldest active player. After winning the championship with Korea Expressway Corporation last season, she moved to GS Caltex as a free agent during the off-season. The example of Jeong Dae-young, who is still on the court with strict self-care even at the age of 40, is a source of hope for fans who want to see Kim extend her career. However, Kim says, “I don’t think it will be easy. I’m an outside hitter (which requires a lot of energy) and he’s a different position,” she said.

“First of all, I think my goal is to work hard this season and finish,” Kim said. Kim doesn’t have a “post-season” picture yet.
